Members popgadget
I had a mighty Gig Rig that I replaced with an EWI. There is no comparison. For starters the gig rig requires two people to pack and unpack it due to it's wacky stacking method. On mine the legs never fit properly into the dolly, that task took two people as well. Then I had to add plywood reinforcement to the dolly to keep the casters from distorting it beyond usable. I do take exception to comparing it to a trash can, it would make a lousy trash can as well. Members rickrock
What about the Gator rack, shown here (12 x 10). http://www.audioeast.com/gator.htm I need to make the same decision and it seems the choices are EWI vs. Gator, but Gator is lighter. Assume abuse factor = in and out of the basement practice space for 10-15 gigs a year, not constant road abuse, + um, avg. age of band = 51. much obliged, rickrock
