However, in a new and what some may say is a surprising development, a company named 'Viryl Technologies' has developed and is installing brand new vinyl presses. The new presses have touch screens and are connected to the internet, allowing the users the ability to check status of the machines away from the factory. In addition, they have a lot more sensors to warn about faults with the machinery long before it becomes a major problem. Viryl Technologies states they have one machine operating in Dallas, and plan to have a second one up and running in early February. Members Anderton Posted January 31, 2017 Members Share Posted January 31, 2017 Very interesting...I wonder if people will think the older pressings sounded better If the vinyl trend continues, although it's true it won't supplant digital (try putting a record player in your car), it does bode well for an ongoing, specialty format.
