Surf Rider - The Lively Ones

Back story - This tune was originally written by Nokie Edwards of the Ventures and called Spudnick (yes "spud") on their Mashed Potatoes And Gravy LP (Later renamed Ventures Beach Party).  The Lively ones later recorded it as Surf Rider and took credit for it. The Ventures won a resulting law suit, but renamed it Surf Rider on their later Surfing LP.  The Lively One's recording is played over the closing credits of "Pulp Fiction" .   I've met both Jim Masoner of the Lively Ones, and Nokie Edwards of the Ventures 😁 So you are 2 degrees of separation from both of them 😉

Me and Nokie:

I was a little chunkier when I met Jim 😢
