Members Chris Loeffler
This year's Guitar Town festival began with a Friday evening performance by Randy Hansen. Randy has been delivering his Jimi Hendrix tribute performances for almost 40 years. He's still performing Jimi's signature guitar stunts on stage and his guitar playing is better than ever. Members Chris Loeffler
Mighty Joe Robinson performing solo. He delivered an acoustic guitar and spoken word performance that told his story about living in the Australian outback, winning Australia's Got Talent, and playing with his guitar idols. Sounds strange, but it actually worked!

The main ski lift operates during the festival for anyone who needs to get even higher (this is Colorado, after all).
Members Chris Loeffler
John Jorgenson with his gypsy jazz group. Having a bluegrass band isn't enough for one day?
Members Chris Loeffler
Guitar Army is a new touring band featuring Leroy Parnell, Joe Robinson, and Robben Ford. They traded lead vocals as well as guitar solos. Their different styles blended well and, of course, they all have killer guitar tones.
Members Karma1
Good to see that Randy Hansen is still around and making music. I saw him back in the late 70's with his Hendrix tribute band, Machine Gun. Absolutely amazing!! Although it was so loud, my ears were ringing for 3 days afterwards. Members wankdeplank
That's so funny because I was going to say the exact same thing. Some Salt Lake City dive bar and Randy's show was kind of a big deal. You're right about the ears ringing, but you forgot to mention that back in those days Randy did it in black face (no lie). Members wasgtrjones
Talked to Redd last weekend at his weekly gig here in Austin. He complained they made him carry his amp UPHILL... in Colorado. at Altitude. He said it was awful. But then he got to play, and it was good. Used to see Cindy play with Redd at his local gig, until she moved to NY. The two of them together are pretty special.
