Members tcrewsman
I have always been a Senn guy, e935 have been my stage mics for years. However, I recently bought a Shure Super 55. The black/red one. I love the look of the mic, but I am having a few problems getting it to sound proper. The sound just sounds a little flat as well as kind of muddy. We have been tweaking knobs a little here and there and couldnt really get it to sound at the level of the e935. Any idea as to what needs to happen? Well, that pretty much sounds like most of the ones I'v heard. Have you tried dumping a bunch of 180 or 250? The easier solution is to pick a mic that you like the sound of rather than one that looks good
Members agedhorse
That's one of the primary characteristics of that mic.
Members Rezrover
There is a guy on Ebay that mod's these mics. Basically he guts the mic and puts in the Beta 58 element into them.
