Members summit111
My Brothers, For practice studio only, can a powered JBL Eon 518 be used as a bass amp? We have one that's not used much and I was wondering if we can use it instead of having our bass player drag his amp to practice each time? Members soul-x
No. Not without a top of some sort. The sub has a built-in low pass filter that cuts anything above about 100hz, so pretty much almost all of your sound. The sub also lacks an onboard preamp, so you need one to bring the signal up to line level.

Unless you can shut the x-over off.
