Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted June 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 18, 2015 Great show on Friday evenings here in the UK, on music of and inspired by the American Civil Way, in it's 150th Anniversary year. Introduced by Kris Kristofferson, not sure how many of you will be able to access it, but it's gonna get YouTubed at some point. Superb production http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05wyd4c
Members knotty
I saw the trailer for that, then forgot about it. Thanks for the heads up.
Members Freeman Keller
While not actually from the Civil War itself, Jay Ungar's wonderful song Ashokan Farewell from the Ken Burn's documentary is a great finger style piece. It was first taught to me by a fiddle player (in the key of Bb of course LOL), later I learned a much easier way to play it in G.
