Members race81
im looking for a jack for a patch panel for the rear of my rack. I am assembling it in the next few days. It will have 6 regular speakon jacks.....and I want to find the speakon/1/4 combo jacks for the other six. Reason being I am running 1/4 cables for my monitor speaker runs, but may in the future switch to speakons and different monitors. Where can I buy these and anyone have a part number???? Members stunningbabe
As I understand it..the more 'adapters' you use...more noise will increase and signal drop too. True?
Members StratGuy22
Use all NL4 speakon jacks for everything. . Rewire your monitor cables with speakon ends at the patch panel end and 1/4" for the monitor ends. Then if you upgrade the monitors, change out the other ends... Simple... Our drummer is partial to his monitor and it has a 1/4" jack, so I have a special cord for him, speakon at one end and 1/4" at the other. I should take it apart sometime and adds speakon jack to his monitor.
Members agedhorse
Combo jacks are generally available only in PC mount regardless of what the catalogs say. Just convert to SpeakOn and be done with it.
