Members 9-Pin-Phoenix
Someone local is selling this Celestion PA System/Speakers. The price seems Ok, but what would I be getting, quality wise? I'm not so interested in the mixer and would likely consider that a thrown in. The band is currently using two 15" B-52 speakers with no subs for most of our gigs. Venues tend to be small bars say about 100 people. It'd be nice to get a little more low end and be able to mic the bass drum for a little more low end. http://kpr.craigslist.org/msg/3261611841.html What say ye o' LS&P experts? Thanks in advance! Members Tomm Williams
I used their Truvox series speakers as replacement drivers in some monitor cabs, they sounded quite good. Can't really tell you more than that.
Members Unalaska
I don't see how the user powered these boxes using a correct crossover etc. that makes me nervous to the quality of the drivers inside the boxes, who knows what the history is? That's a good point that I hadn't thought of. Anyone else have experience or opinions?
Members Flogger59
I don't know that series, but I sold Celestion in the 80's. The two way box with dual 10's and a HF element were quite realistic in their reproduction. Fire 'em up, if they sound good it's a screaming deal.
