Members Coaster Posted December 16, 2013 Members Share Posted December 16, 2013 i have 2 of 5 dimmers that are not working correctly. they are not expensive dimmers, around $200 each or so. the outputs that are malfunctioning have no output at all. they are not stuck at full output. one dimmer of a pair of DP-DMX20L has a dead channel 4. it has dmx monitors on all 4 channels and channel four monitor functions like the pack is working. voltage on output 4 is around 3v.one dimmer of a pair of dp-dmx4b just stopped working saturday on outputs 3 and 4. 1 and 2 are fine. of the four dmx monitors 3 and 4 show nothing; but i am not sure if these monitors are for output or dmx input. my understanding is that if the triac or other parts of the dimming system fail that the outputs go ful power - no dimming but not dead with no output.of course i have checked fuses.do i just have crappy dimmers or is this common?the other 3 dimmers are fine.
