Members GlassPrisoner
OK, not my cup of tea, but happened across a radio station last night while surfing. Dang, I didn't realize how key based it is. I was picking out Bass, Drums, effects, etc that were all key generated. Sounds pretty cool really loud, too. Seriously, it opened my ears. so to speak. Us dang prog snobs need to vary our genres a little. There's good stuff everywhere.
Members The Audacity Works
Agreed, but be careful, lest some unfortunate soul drags me into another Britney debate.
Members Jimmyzegg
I had a similar experience a few months ago when I started working (hah! more like hanging around like a loser;) ) with a bunch of intelligent R&B artists at a local studio. It's really easy to just dismiss a whole genre after seeing the corporate crap on MTV, but you have to keep an open mind because there is still a lot of good stuff out there... Members pink floyd cramer
for seriously funky R&B check out "Scrape" by Ivan Neville (Aaron's nephew). He's a clav and B3 monster and even recruited George Duke for some synth leads (Ivan doesn't do the pitch-bend thing).
