Old Japanese Tele Copy...

This is a Sigma Tele copy that was made in 74-75. From the limited info I can find on the guitar C.F. Martin Co. used the Sigma name for their Jap acoustics. They had Tokai make Tele, Strat, and LP copies in 74-75.

 

I just had it setup by my luthier with 10's, it plays great, all electronics work. It's definately an odd ball Tele. It's cleaned up now and looks better than in the pics. I have a Hardshell case that it fits in I'll let go with it.

Yeah, Ampegs from that era have the same style headstock. Sigma was Martin's Japanese off brand. This is a nice one.

 

 

Cool, glad to see someone has heard of them. I like the guitar, I'm just having to move and need to liquidate. I'm trying to end up with a hand ful of nicer guitars instead of so many.
