BOTH GUITARS SOLD

Have another Guild 12-string coming, so two of the Twelves have to find new homes:

First is a 1977 Alvarez 5054-12. SOLD

One of the great Japanese classics from their guitar renaissance period. Wonderful tone, that clear chimey octave effect that defines a good twelve-string. This was the last year it was made in this configuration, they went to an height adjustable saddle design the following year that was not as successful. If you check the reviews you'll see it's a highly regarded guitar.

It's a full dread size, solid spruce top and mahogany back/sides/neck. It's got lots of small bumps and bruises to show it's been often used over the past 31 years, including a headstock repair 25 years ago and bridge re-glue (obviously stable LOL). Small frets, bone saddle, normal action, nice neck.

Second is a 1998 Fender DG10/12 SOLD

This is the preferred Korea built version. Spruce top, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, mahogany sides/back/neck. All laminate but surprisingly well-balanced tone and overall volume. Some minor cosmetic flaws (nothing obvious) but otherwise very solid. Clean neck/frets/fingerboard. Very nice guitar if you want to get your feet wet in the twelve-string pond.

Both guitars come with fresh Martin strings and a usable HSC.

Will consider all trade offers for guitars and basses.

The Alvarez model numbers are not consecutive. The 5021 Was made from 1973 until 1993. If your label says "Made In Japan" it is a 70's model, otherwise it's older and made in Korea. The Japan labels have a production date stamped on them, the Korean models may have a date code stamped near or on the neck block.

Hope that helps.
