Members dvilla76
....all the martin 15 series are mahogany, no? Not any longer with Mahogany supplies running low Martin has reserved much of it for their higher end and custom models. Although Martin continues to list the Top, Back and Sides as Solid Sapele OR Solid Genuine Mahogany, most/many post 2007/2008's are now shipped Sapele which typically has a very different looking vertical alternate striping to the grain with Mahogany a more uniform Vintage look to it circa 20's - 40's. Many say they both sound very similar but there's nothing like a solid wood construction all Mahogany Martin. This model has been one of Martins best kept secrets for a long time when years ago you could buy on for under $700.00 regardless of the wood used. No matter which way you look at it a Martin 000 12 Fret Slothead is a great guitar that does everything well. D
