Members Anderton
Seems to me flatwounds might work better...fewer harmonics, more fundamental... I'm going to give it a try, but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone else has already traveled down that road.
Members Lucky #9
I haven't but I would be interested in the results as I picked up one of the old Casio MIDI guitars some time ago (Strat-like model).
Members Polaris20
I've read about this before on the Yahoo MIDI guitar list. Might be worth a try. For me, Roland's gear works well enough with normal strings, and I don't have to put up with the tonal change that flatwounds would give me.
