I got my mint silverscrew CE-2 + box + manual for 45 euro's shipped, but still, the Driver 5000 usually sells for 3, 4 times that price.

I'm more fond of the Zoom Hyper Lead these days. A bit less processed sounding, but there's no pedal with such sick amounts of gain as the Driver 5000. The thing is you need a nice clean channel with lots of headroom for this pedal, this way it doesn't sound processed at all. Try it and you'll see what I mean. Also, don't dime the gain and it will sing to you.... Kevin
Members Speeddemon
Yeah, I use the clean channel too. But when you A/B it side to side with a boosted H&K Tubefactor, the difference becomes clear. Still, I remember how I felt, the day I shipped mine to you, and tried it on my Engl Savage 60 on rehearsal level, just before shipping... man, what a phat sound. Yeah, The Hughes and Kettner is a very nice pedal indeed. But I always find myself going back to the Driver. The secret is that you need a clean channel that doesn't breakup at all.....that's the ticket.....phat sound in spades. Kevin
