He may have made my absolute favorite movie but I dislike just about everything else he did. BTW, the movie that I consider to be my absolute favorite is Dr Strangelove. Members newstrat60
It's a great movie, ones of his very best, "integrity" included there's a very rare atmosphere, breaking the frontier beetween fantasies and reality, which IMO serves 100% the purpose of the movie anyway, cant argue with taste issues

Don't think I don't like classic movies or something because I enjoy so many movies is so many genres and eras that it is not that. There is just something about most of what he did that I dislike. I haven't seen them for a while so I can't be more specific.

Members 4Kenoath
I just have never worked out why Kubrik is considered such a master of the art. I haven't seen Dr Strangelove or Eyes Wide Shut (which I won't because Tom Cruise truly does suck) yet, but apart from The Shining, the rest were just pretentious and very boring to me. I've even seen several of his movies more than once just to make sure I wasn't missing something...nup...dull. My bro just bought one of his friends that new huge book on Kubrik's movies...I'd suggest that'd be more entertaining to look at than the movies. Members Chriss
One of the worst movies ever made. Eyes Wide {censored} is more like it.
Members jcn37203
I thought A Clockwork Orange was great, until I read the book. Now I can't stand it. Love him or hate him, you have to admit his movies are majorly influential. I didn't really enjoy Eyes Wide Shut.

Members blaghaus
Spartacus is great, as is the shining, Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, Paths to Glory and don't forget 2001. Eyes Wide Shut was complete tripe though. Clockwork wasn't great either.
