But Louis Armstrong has been hanging around my neck like a lead weight for a couple days, and at least that chapter is finally done.It's gonna take me a while and a few hours of highlights to decide if it was worth it, though. Posted October 27, 2005 Members Share Posted October 27, 2005 a very tight series. almost seemed like it was the astros series to lose considering how chicago won. but the sox got it done and the stros rolled over and died. the NL hasn't won a single game in the world series since the Marlins beat the Yankees in 2003. The Red Sox waited 86 years for their WS title last year.The White Sox waited 88 years for their WS title this year.The Cubs have been waiting 97 years for a WS title. It'll be 98 years next year. Uribe's plays in the last innings were brilliant. He's got a great arm. I can see the Yankees trying to get Ozzie when Joe Torre leaves. Why? Everyone in Chicago is a cubs fan! Are the white sox that good, or are the Astro's that bad? The Stro's got swept with a scoreless last game... It's almost like they were ready to get the series over with. They had a bunch of chances in every game, but couldn't come up with the hits when they needed them.
