Members mickuk
Hi all, I have a vox tonelab and I think its great, much prefer it to the pod xt. I was originally told that the only difference between the tonelab and the tonelab se was the floor unit and expression pedals, but after seeing one in a shop today (se model) I feel I have been informed wrong ? The se appears to have more amps, cabs and the vox website claims it has 50 effects instead of the tonelabs 22. Can someone confirm this as I may sell the tonelab and buy the se for the greater range of sounds. Cheers Mick p.s. anyone wanna buy a pod xtl ? Members zinzin
yes, the SE has more to offer and i think its the better tonelab because you can play live with it and record. with the desktop tonelab you would have to buy also the pedal when wanting to play live. Members UberXTC
I would get the Tonelab SE. You can turn off the amp models on the SE, but you cannot on the desktop unit.
Members djwa
Just a note that there's no digital out on the SE like the desktop has, so if you were using that on the desktop, you'll have to find another way. I love my SE though - on a hunt for a decent full range amp/speaker system to run it through instead of direct to board all the time.
