Members zinzin
hi fans! this is a video (ca. 60 MB) of "The Drugs Don't Work" played for MTV by Richard on acoustic and Nick on electri guitar. amazing performance. nick really adds A LOT to the song.you can see him playing his gibson goldtop through a vox ac100 head->marshall cab, but i think he switches to the fender amp for the more "delayed" sounds. he is using a bootleneck plus i can see a yellow and an orange stompbox on the floor. boss sd-1 and mxr phase 100? i can clearly spot the korg dtr 1 tuner in his rack and maybe a lexicon jamman delay unit? http://s42.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3LI5QKNCTIEZM0NWJVDLL1R8J aaaah ... nice one! Members blaghaus
I remember seeing that years ago on MTV and thought to myself that Nick McCabe was one of the worst guitarists ever. its just noise.

Members zinzin
Originally posted by blaghaus its all subjective, I just think he is gash. well, yes, he had some bad days, some bad concerts. but that is mainly because he really liked to improvise and tweaked constantly his effects live, that sometimes can go wrong. but i find him more interesting than other guitarists that play the same licks night after night exactly like on the records.when nick was good he was very good, but when he was bad ...
