Members playdabluze
I already know about the Dano Dan-Echo. Are there any others?
Members freeRadical
SIB Mr. Echo is a good analog simulation. I have a Dan Echo also and I like the SIB significantly more. Arion SAD-1 pop up occasionally or the EM-5. And AD-99 can be had for a little over $100.

Members Tmoxness
Ibanez ADL, CD-10 sometimes go cheaply. I have an old Washburn analog delay that doesn't sound any different from my Boss DM-2.

Members Backstepper
Rocktron Short Timer- Analog voiced for $55. Best. Value. Ever. Rockson Analog Delay- find them on ebay for $60ish, true analog but not the best built pedal ever. Tokai TDL-1 clean analog delay, sounds great but not so easy t find, sell for a lot less than Boss or Ibanez of the same vintage.
Members Tmoxness
Do a search for Washburn delay on ebay, there are a couple of the AD-9s, one with a BIN at $59. Great pedal, pretty much identical to my DM-2, and Ibanez Delay Champ.

Members Tmoxness
Yep, I think the Washburn AD is the same as the LocoBox. I like those LocoBox pedals too!

But, you have to like a delay a lot to spend that kind of money (I did). I don't know why people call the DD-3 sterile-sounding. I disagree; it's the best value in delay pedals, IMO. I thought it sounded good when I bought it, but had nothing else to compare it to, since I knew next to nothing about effects. But I have seen (and heard) the world of analog, and I can't go back to digital...or digital sounding delays.
Members freeRadical
I was the same way. I bought the guyatone MD3 and it was good, but I guess I'm just not a digital guy when it comes to delay. I really like the SIB better than the Dan echo. Members Seth Carmody
I think it's time for me to pick up another analog delay to educate myself. I've only had an SAD-1, and thought the DMLII I bought subsequent shat all over it. I think I really appreciated the extra 500ms of delaytime. Then I sold the DMLII to buy a TV
