Members CicadaSilence Posted March 10, 2006 Members Share Posted March 10, 2006 Just picked up a Vortex off of eBay, no power supply. It needs 9v AC, 1 Amp, 50/60hz. Closest thing I have laying around the house is an Alesis 9v AC, 830mA, 60hz. Am I going to fry the Lexicon by using the lower amperage power supply? Thanks in advance. If anything it may not function properly at the lower mA's but will not be fried. 800mA to 1amp ain't much difference. The 9v AC is the most important part. And the connector end fitting properly. 50 hertz is England. 60 hertz is US. So don't worry about that. Is the original supply supposed to be tip negative? Might wanna pay attention to that. I figured the 50/60hz thing wouldn't be an issue, and underpowering probably wouldn't hurt anything...
