Members TheWarmth
I hope you guys like this. Tons of Skreddy Mayo on this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The vocals get a bit buried here and there ... I know we need to fix that. The handclap that occurs at 2:18 ... does that sound weird? Is the track overall too guitar heavy? http://www.sendspace.com/file/hgxb1k
Members GuyaGuy
wow.sounds really polished.who's engineering this project?yes, lots of guitar but each part has its own space.the bass could be brought out more i think.i like the Ed O-Brien-style back up vox. Members TheWarmth
We did bass and drums on 2" tape at a studio called Phantom Manor here in Chicago and are recording the rest with our engineer at his home studio. He's a mastering engineer and we're pretty much the only band he tracks:http://www.saffmastering.com/ We haven't done any mastering yet. Still mixing this track. Oh, and we actually boosted the bass during our last session. I'd be hesitant to bring it up anymore, but I'll keep it in mind.
Members onetubetone
I realy like the sound of each part, they sit really well together tonally. You said it yourself, the vocals get burried. You should really work with guitar vs vocal volumes of the verse and the chorus. The chorus mix sounds perfect to me, but there are more guitar layers in the verse which compete with the vocals. Personally I would back off the low distorted guitar in particular while the singer is singing. You know what, even take out the part entirely then slowly mix it, you might hear a perfect level which adds just enough meat to the sound. But hey, excellent song! I really like it actually, it would go in my cd player =) Oh, and I liked the clap.
Members Dr.Picklebottom
im still downloading it, but im assuming it needs more clapping. ugh, from the intro noise stuff i wasnt expecting it to sound like a inde-garage huey lewis and the news type sound. good luck with that though. Members TheWarmth
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Ummm ... indie/garage Huey Lewis? Can't say I really agree or appreciate that, but if that's your opinion I'll take it for what it is.

Members inscho
don't mind Mr.Picklebottom, he has been known to enjoy the occasional feather ruffling.
Members bucky
Sounds great, I really like the guitar tones. My only recommendation would be to cut out the nintendo thing at the beginning, it doesn't really fit in my opinion. Would be better if it started with the feedback intro that is right after it. Maybe bump the bass up a bit too.

Members CicadaSilence
The right channel clean-ish guitar during the verses sounds really "plinky" to me. maybe re-EQ it, or something... Bump up the bass a bit, or lower the distorted guitar a little, and it will sound great. Other than that, a very well recorded, well put together song. Members RoboPimp
It's recorded well, don't really like the song but that's just my personal taste.
Members fuzzface71
Very well written song, very psychedelic sixties London. Vocals and bass could come up a bit. One of the best ones I've heard in the forum! Goodluck!
Members TheWarmth
Wow, I really didn't think the bass was too quiet, but that's great feedback. I appreciate everyone's input. This is great.
Members Mr. Shankly
I think the bass could use just a touch more volume and perhaps some EQ boosting at 62hz, 125hz, and a touch of boost at 4khz. Otherwise you have a good song on your hands and the production matches the style well.
Members DaSkip
I liked it. As said before maybe a bit more level on the bass and kick drum. Sounds good though.
