Members fuzzylogic220
just wondering if this thing is worth the money and if so why.......... other than the tap tempo isnt it basically a DMM???? .......I need some sort of analog delay and was thinking about this one. but is it worth it.??/???? your thoughts
Members MrSage
I'll let you know when I get mine. Also has Control of depth and rate on the modulation + effects loop, neither of which the DMM has. Plus a tone control on the repeats.
Members fuzzylogic220
So its like a pimped out DMM
Members jove
It doesn't sound all that much like a DMM. The DMM is a lot darker and murky, which can be a good thing depending on your tastes. IMO The ML sounds like itself, an analog delay with a sound of it's own (not dramatically so, but enough to have a character). It's the features that make it attractive and if you don't need them I wouldn't bother. Personally, I think tap-tempo alone makes it.
Members Meriphew
It's worth the $ IMO.
Members foxguitar
is the that much better than a DD-20 , Ive never tries either or , I ordered a DD-20 yesterday but I was interested in the ML. so im quite interested in feedback:thu:
Members murch33
I've owned a Memory Lane in the past and now have a DMM. I'd agree with the earlier comment about the DMM being "murkier". The tone control on the ML definitely makes a big difference. You can choose between vibe and chorus on the DMM which you can't on the ML, though. Overall, I'd say that the Memory Lane sounds "prettier" and the DMM is better for more ambient stuff. I used to use the ML as my go-to delay for spicing up clean stuff, but right now I use the DMM more for creating these big clouds of noise. Members Funky Chowder
im either thinking the memory lane or the maxon ad-990 It's subjective as to which sounds better, to a certain degree, but the Memory Lane has many more features than the Maxon (e.g., effects loop, tap tempo, modulation). Members williamh
sounds great, just discovered analog delay wasn't my thing. Sold mine and picked up a damage control timeline. That thing sounds amaaazing.
Members TheAtomicJeff
Phil, You've test driven both the Diamond and the upcoming Eventide delay. Both are relatively the same price. Which would you choose?

Members varialbender
I love mine. Some don't like the harshness of the self-oscillation. I do. Lots of great features, and it sounds great. Try one out though, who knows, maybe you don't need all the features, maybe the sound isn't to your taste, etc...
