Members whiteshadow
Is this a possible alternative to an fx loop? I just hate having the reverb be compressed and amplified by the preamp... what can I do?
Members english_bob
Oh boy, this question came up a few months ago. There's not many units that can do it, because regular effects will get damaged if you run them at the currents that speaker outputs produce. There's a unit called the motherload (www.motherload.co.uk) that allows you to insert an effects loop between amp and speaker. It's expensive, but if you want to do what you want to do... Members MegaTom
If you're using your amp's FX loop, the reverb is not being touched by the preamp. That's pretty much the point of using an FX loop.
Members elctmist
For the best reverb run your amp into a balloon and then the amp cab.

Members bbrunskill
He probably doesnt have an effects loop on his amp.I know someone who had a tech add a effect loop to an old AC-30, so that might be an option.
