Members Fender&EHX4ever
Has anyone experimented much with using both the stereo inputs and the stereo outputs? What are some unconventional ways to use stereo panning? I'm trying to figure out ways of combining it with my SMMH. Related Threads: Boss PN-2 panning Boss PN-2... is the hype legit? Members Funky Chowder
Love mine! It's cool to use it as a splitter for a mono signal and have different effects going after it to hit two different amps.
Members only_shallow
the pn-2's PWN. never played one though
Members handofthehost
I had one for several years and it was really cool sounding panning between two amps. I eventually sold it because you could still hear it ticking away when it was off.

Once I recofigured my power setup, it went away.

Once I recofigured my power setup, it went away. Doh!!! Ahh just kiddin, I was using batteries at the time so I don't know if that was the problem with mine. I think it had more to do with the overdrive I had before it. I wanted that sound and found the ticking unacceptable. I've got a TR-2 now that doesn't seem prone to the same issue. Members SpectralJulian
I'd put the PN-2 after the SMMH and tap double time the tempo of the PN-2 and go from there.

Members SpectralJulian
Or put the PN-2 after the SMMH, and record a loop in the left input of the SMMH then put a dummy plug in the left and record something else in the right. That would sound pretty cool.
Members titovanburen
one time I tried plugging two guitars and two amps into the PN-2... with my friend playing at the same time as me... it was just weird.... The best thing to do with this beast is trippy rhythmic bouncing around stuff wit two amps. my band doesn't have the patience for my experiments, and I've got my PN-2 for sale/trade right now. Members Fender&EHX4ever
I've been considering selling mine to make some extra $ for the holidays. The one thing I really love about the PN-2 is the ability to do stereo panning with 2 inputs and outputs. That's a not a feature I have available on any EHX pedal, or in my XP-1000 Jetpack. Will I regret selling it?
Members jgs61
Probably. I have ever since I sold mine a few years back. Which is why I'm about to buy another one. I wish the Pulsar came with stereo inputs.

Members Ambient Exposure
Has anyone experimented much with using both the stereo inputs and the stereo outputs? My Mrs has it setup using both the stereo inputs & outputs from the DC-2, RV-5, DD-20, RE-20, to the PN-2, then to both her amps. It sounds very ambient. I love the sound of it, especially when I ran it through my DRRI and AC-15.
Members Diabolus_in_Musica
go from output a to input b, then go from output b to amp or next pedal and the ticking is gone and you get a stronger tremolo sound... I remember I had someone fix mine up once as it had gone to shreads over the years and he claimed that the ticking was a capacitor issue... not sure bout that but try as above and it's gone for good well as stronger trem. Also used to send it to 2 seperate inputs on my amps and it sounded pretty nice.
Members seifukusha
in around 1992, i got like $60 for my parttime job at uni, and i walked intoa shop and they just got one in used for $60, and there it went home with me. lent it to a pal for 8 years and then got it back, but i sold it. at the time, it was rad for sure... Members Jumbo Fuzz
I just bought an alleged mint condition one with box and papers for $105. I hope when it gets in, it lives up to the hype!
Members gold_soundz
One of the few pedals I have regretted selling. Sweet sounding tremolo. The stereo panning and flashing led were great features and the subsequent TR2 was a step backwards for boss. The ticking is remedied if placed after a buffer, but was the pedals' ultimate flaw.
