Members mrritalin
So which is better? I'm bidding on a RE-201 right now on ebay, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with the hassle of replacing the tape every now and then...Which do you guys prefer? And are there any major differences? Members kishjor
well obviously one is digital, the other analog. the RE-20 will be easier to take care of and use, but it is way cool to own the actual thing, IMHO.
Members seifukusha
nothing can replace the quirks of a space echo. needless to compare. one is a delay pedal, one is a delay machine. that said, i use my analog delay pedals more. the upkeep on my echos was riduculous. Im selling my last one locally i think..
Members cloudscapes
RE-20smaller, less expensive, more rugged, mostly hassle free, more delay time RE-201sounds better, has the little plesant quirks that you dont find in a sim
Members ElephantTalk
the tape sim on the echo park seems to simulate random tape slipage better than anything ive tried. as far as sim. goes.
