Members mark7171
i want to have fun with the bass. effects that sound good "in the pocket" are hard to come by. if you wanted to make the bass exciting again, what would you use ? i have the bassballs and it comes in handy. what s up i was thinking about a EHX bass micro synth. Members murch33
A big thick fuzz of some kind. Something that doesn't suck out too much bass, though. Or maybe one that allows you to dial in some clean at the same time.
Members Poltergeist
are you kidding me? just get a decent cheap multi-effects board, you'll have tons of stuff to {censored} around with!
Members veil
To answer your question I think it would be fun if you got an octave pedal.
Members mark7171
you mean like a BOSS OC-3? what can it really do? the EHX micro synth seems very dynamic. i think it can do octaves. is it important to get the BASS micro synth instead of the guitar? because id like to use it for both. it could be a matter of modding it with a toggle switch. back and fourth from the 2 tayloring. Q- does it work well without reverb, or does it have its own fading decay?

Members olejason
line6 rotomachine and an ebow. I'm really surprised they never made a bass ebow. The regular one will work on bass but it's kind of awkward getting it positioned and takes a long time getting the string to start moving without help
Members Kittie Rose
Zvex FUN pedal. Because you know it's going to be a Zvex pedal. Only the style of paint on his pedals would do for the "FUN" Pedal. It'd probably some kind of weird step distortion...

I may scale it back at some point, but I'm just experimenting with sounds and such. I'm thinking of maybe the Micro POG to create guitar textures. Hmmmmmmm.... Members Kittie Rose
Actually, I take it back. A FUN pedal would be some weird filter/microsynth type thing. So I recommend that.
