Members Dolf
I'd like a fairly awesome octave/fuzz pedal. Doesn't need to be boutique Doesn't need to cost more than $150. In fact, I'd prefer if I could net a used one for under $100 easily. SO...suggestions?
Members squareking
Octavia or Foxx type? Octavia - Plenty o' options...a used Fulltone would work. Foxx - Dano French Toast, hands down.

Easy to build, cheap and i suppose does the job good.Someone said this wasn't such a hot pedal from BYOC. It's just one testimony, but the poster loved some of the other BYOC stuff... Members stent
I'm also interested in a pretty kickass octave fuzz. I can get the octave boost sound with my fuzzfactory but I want the full high gain octave up fuzz. was thinking of building a foxx tone machine... can anyone tell me how it sounds? I've grown to dislike the fuzz on my big muff - not enough dynamics. How does the tone machine compare?

Members the Dust
ya can go with the Dano French Toast, fuzz + octave. but theres also the Guyatone The Fuzz wich is a fuzz with this octave up in it. turning the fuzz way up makes the octave more noticeable. WAY more agressive than the Dano or the Tone Machine.

Members Wilbo26
Start with the french toast and go from there. It seriously sounds fantastic for the money, and its octave action gets you really close to a lot of really expensive boxes as long as you actually know how to use it. Members pbone
Zvex Fuzz Factory. You can try to get a vexter series used, maybe? It's probably the best fuzz out there, and can do everything you want. It does octaves too, both higher and lower. The key to the octaves on the FF is that you just need to pick lightly. It's damn cool.
