Where yo effects at?

Just curious if people have more effects in front of the amp or in the loop. For me it's:

 

BYOC comp, OC-3, LBM in front and:

 

Rotomachine, DD20, EQ, Verbzilla in the loop.

 

I kinda feel that if I keep adding to the fx loop it's going to create an imbalance and the up front sounds won't have as much punch, if that makes any sense.

I go all up front. Maybe that's not the right way to do it... but that's what's easiest.

SInce I'm using a Blues, Jr. I'm forced to put all of my effects up front.

I use all up front cause presently I play mostly with a looper and I don't want the loop go through any pedal.
If I played without looper I'd put reverb, delay and probably some more fx into the parallel loop of the amp.

Currently running all up front because I'm using pedals for dirt, but if I use amp dirt, it has to have a series loop.

The only FX i have (dirt excl) is delay and chorus, and the BJr. does not have a loop !

I got no loop, so it's all up front.

If I had a loop, I'd likely run my DMM in it, at least.

I've never owned an amp with a loop. I run pretty clean anyway, and depend on pedals for most dirt. When I've run a dirty amp, mostly during the brief period I had a Princeton, I didn't think the delays and stuff sounded bad at all running in front of the amp.

All in the front. My amps don't have loops. Too old and crusty.

All up front, but from a systems point of view, I'm not using the amp as much of a processor (ie my "tone" doesn't come from the amplifier)

oh, they may have some non-linearity in their frequency response leading to some "voicing" and I do have some rotating speakers for ambience
but I'm not, for instance, overdriving the amplier to create a base "tone" (I try to get that as early as possible...with the instrument and add process to that)

YMMV as I mainly play nylon strings on guitar

I have 8 pedals. Two of them are dirt; and they stay up front. The rest are in the loop.
