Cable - want to make up some patch/instrument cables

Hi all

Thought I'd ask in here, as you lot use more cable than anyone else...

It seems I left my favourite cable at the gig last week (or else it got stolen by the evil elves or something...) and it seems like a good excuse to buy some new cables. I'll make them up myself, I can solder and I've got some Neutrik jacks kicking around; the only question is what cable to use.

I'm not going to spend megabucks, but I'd like something decent - what's the consensus on a good, high quality instrument cable?

Oh, and it would help if there's a UK dealer.

Thanks all :D

I use Canare GS-6 for my stereo system interconnects, as well as instrument-to-amp applications. I use the Canare F-10 connectors for RCA-type terminations.

I compared Switchcraft, Neutrik, and Canare 1/4" connectors and prefer the Canare F-15. I prefer the loop-type center terminal of the Switchcraft and Canare connectors over the solder cup style of the Neutrik, and like the spring-type strain relief of the Canare over the Switchcraft.
