Members hangwire
do any of them self oscillate? do they have trim pots that can be ripe for tweaking?
Members kpd78
i bought a DFX9 recently, but only tried it out for 5 minutes. it didn't self oscillate, however... there ARE 2 trimpots inside; one marked 'Clock', the other 'Repeat'. i'll be trying it out again this afternoon and will report back later. Members kpd78
I imagine repeat will make it self oscillate when it is turned... let me know yeah, i thought it would too... and it does. the 'Clock' trimpot doesn't seem to have much of a useable range - turning it to get more delay time quickly results in nasty, noisy repeats. it has just over a second of delay - which is more than i usually use anyway. the oscillation is different... i'm used to analogue delays (like DM-2, FX90 and DMM) which have smooth, 'organic' oscillation. i didn't want to describe the oscillation as 'digital', but that's the best term for it really. with the delay in the shorter-time modes the oscillation is, as expected, smoother and less grainy. in the longest-time modes it's quite glitchy. Members hangwire
what happens when it is glitchy oscillation, then hit into a infinte repeate mode...? ?
Members cloudscapes
I used to have a DFX94 which I loved dearly! it didn't oscillate stock, but I bent it a bit to make it go into mad oscillation. it was awesome! I need to buy another
