Members usc96
Looking for a good octave pedal? Never used one before, so it seems like a logical pedal to try. What do you use and what do you use it for? Is the zvex one any good?

Members Jules-RM
I just ditched a EHX Octave Multiplexer for a Boss PS3. The tracking on the EHX just wasn't up to it, even though it had pretty nice tone.

It's kinda like an octave fuzz, but it does octave down instead of up.
Members 1000 Hearts
POG is the best octave up and down. Tracks perfectly add a good fuzz and it sounds {censored}ing wild.
Members josh27
Wait...the mxr blue box is an OCTAVE DOWN pedal? How did I not know that?Ooh....it can't possibly track well. Blue box is fuzzy two octave down. People say the reissues are bad but the original is {censored}ing awesome.
Members UltraBoy
is good!! It has many options. Boss OC-2 is a warm analog octave down. Yeah, I really liked my OC-2. Perfect for single note melodic lead lines.
Members jimwratt
Get both, get a Micro POG. it pretty much beats all the octave pedals in its price range. The whammy is a different beast altogether though. get one of those too.
Members Lanefair
The micro pog tracks great but is a pitch shifter, it doesn't have half the balls of a good octaver. I keep the OC-3 on my board next to the pog for this reason. I still haven't put the micro pog and oc-3 into a mixer yet. I believe that pitch shift + octaved signal will be the best bass sounding trick ever.
Members Lanefair
I'm a bass player, so I know exactly where you're coming from. But pitch shifted octave down doesnt have any balls, octaved signal does have balls but sounds nothing like a bass. I think a careful blend of the two would get as close to a bass replication as anything else out there. But yeah nothing sounds more like a bass than a bass. Members placebo62
Can't go wrong with an octron / will cover almost all tones' mentioned hear-in yet $'ey . do you own an Octron at present old boy? I have one in the post, did you hear? if you care to talk about it to me, in hushed tones, of victories won, that would be most acceptable.
