Members Monstar
I was noticing mine was super noisy so I took it back to gc to try another one, and the one they brought out felt completely different. It was about a quarter of the weight, felt like cheap plastic and the switch felt awful. Didn't feel like it would last a month and yet it was still $110. It didn't make as much noise, but I declined and just returned the pedal. Didn't feel any better than the $30 behringers honestly. I'm bummed. Time to find a new delay. Members Monstar
well it was noisy even with a 9v. the second one was quieter, but i just couldnt deal with the apparent build quality. it was bad. not to mention the gc guy tried to sell me a $20 warranty because i said it felt like it would break. Members mueller
i thought the new ones were just lighter, no switch change. but i've only played the older one.
Members Kayzer
The housing feels really nice but the knobs on the front look and feel so cheap! ;-(
Members Monstar
The housing feels really nice but the knobs on the front look and feel so cheap! ;-( You might still have the older one then, the new ones kind of balanced the cheap knobs with even cheaper housing. The switch could very well be the same, but it definitely "felt" cheaper. Pressing it down fully to engage made the pedal feel like it was going to snap. Members houseofglass21
The Echo Park isn't noisy and doesn't boost your signal according to Line 6's product manager, it's the fault of the guitar and amp you're using. Pigs can also fly, and Oswald really killed JFK. :arg:
Members Monstar
are you trying to tell me that pigs can't fly?
Members THeLoveGun
does boost my signal in a good way. use the slap back to add presence of my tubes. as for the noise? I use the "stereo" ouptput instead of the mono, and for some weird reason...it works. not much a hum. power supply must be individual. not chained. Members freeridstylee
Yea I took a look at a new one the other day at guitar center. Man it felt like a freeking toy.
Members amp_surgeon
I've heard something about the echo park needing a dedicated power supply. It needs it's own power supply because it generates god awful digital noise on a power daisy chain, which analog pedals will happily boost and send to your amp. Members JorisBlack
I think they are now using ToneCore modules with the EchoPark module inserted into it... My Verbzilla seems to have come in such a construction (I haven't tried taking it out yet, but there was even a little sheet in the box saying how you could do it...) It is definitely not plastic, but I do agree that it feels a little cheap for what you pay... But I think it will last.
Members IRG
Yeah, I agree with Tom, go with the Hardwire DL-8. Feels very well built, sounds great, easy to use, good feature set for the money. A bit more than the Line6, but well worth it.
Members LWatford-2
Mr. Huge posted something a while back about the weight: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showpost.php?p=3478333&postcount=4 The original ToneCores were made of Zink (to my displeasure, but that

Members Boron
Jeez - I thought it was just me! Had an EP a few years ago and sold it - bought a new one a few months ago... it is lighter - less sturdy feeling. Now to be fair I think it'll still go the distance, and the first one I had was over engineered - so heavy! So yeah - line6 - trimming the fat on production - Wurd. Great sounding delay tho. Love the boost.
