Members nuke_diver
I've been prowling for an O/D dist pedal and these were recommended. I've only seen the older versions on ebay though (without the noise gate I believe). How big of a difference is that?
Members Jamiegaskin
depends on what you play, and your other gear.

Members Gomez315
I had a silver one. It was a very cool pedal I could get a lot of sounds out of it. I would love to have one of the new ones. I think they have better componets and a better buffer and better quality.
Members Folky_Grunge
The controls are different, and (to me), so is the sound, besides the noise gate. The case, besides looking different, is also smaller.
Members JK049
I have the new J&K pedal and love it. It sounds awesome. The new switches look a little lame at first, but after a while, they grow on you. Plus, they're 10 Million cycle switches, so they'r every durable. The gate is killer and both side of the pedal kick ass.

Members nuke_diver
I'm watching a couple on ebay What is a good market value for a used J&H Red model not the silver (I think the silver is the oldest, then red then an update with the different switches)
Members garyfanclub
Am I the only person that doesn't really like this pedal? It sounds totally totally fake to me, especially in front of a cleanish amp. That said, I've got a beat-up older (2004ish) Red one, if anyone's looking to buy one on the cheap. Members Johnonon
has anyone tried the hyde stand-alone pedal? I have. The knobs all need to be set high on the pedal or else it sounds muffled. The bright switch sounds like butt. But if you want a raw and midrangey distortion than it does it well
