This is probably the wrong forum to post this in. I don't know of any Keane fans around here, and I've seen plenty of Keane haters.

Oh well, this could be the best songwriting I've heard all year. Somewhere in the heavens Freddie Mercury is singing along.

Like beautiful dawns, all made up and bright

Radiant people, in splintering light

All moving at the speed of life

Reflecting in each others' eyes

But you're moving so fast

Through this beautiful scene

You don't see me

You don't see me

Oh truly we are, a fortunate few

Who turn on your axis, revolve around you

All spinning outwards from your sun

Passing your reflection on

In your hurry to grasp

Everything you see

You don't see me

You don't see me

You don't see me

No, you don't see me

Such a beautiful view

I guess you've seen it all

But you

You see nothing at all

Such a beautiful view

Shining so bright

Shining so bright

So bright

All moving at the speed of life

Reflecting in each others' eyes

But you're moving with such irresistible speed

You don't see me

You don't see me

You don't see me

No, you don't see me

No, you don't see me

Oh oh...Oooo, ooo...

i love all of hopes & fears, but i hate the rest. sorry.

Hopes & Fears is excellent, especially "She Has No Time." But "You Don't See Me" easily ranks among anything on that album. It may not be the best musicianship, the most innovative production, or the world's most poetic lyrics; but it's classic songwriting that I can appreciate. I wish I had that kind of songwriting skill.

sounds like u2 playing a beatles song

Interesting comparison, and considering I'm both a Beatles and a U2 fan, it could be indicative of why I like it so much; though it sounds more like a Freddie Mercury composition to me - especially the opening line. Very melodic and emotionally charged. Not at all boring for me.

I didn't really get into them when they first came out but my bandmate recently went nuts over them. I enjoy them quite a bit. We watched a concert DVD of theirs recently.. it's very good.

The dvd i got, which i cant find anymore, was pretty god damn good. probably the tightest, cleanest performance i've seen. every note was spot on, good passion and a little embellishment on all member's parts. it was really just super good. i think it was "keane: live" I can't find it anywhere anymore though. It was so good...

hopes and fears is fantastic, but since then i've been forced to ignore them. this sounds like u2 playing a beatles song. it's good, it's just kinda boring

That's actually a pretty good synopsis of their sound.

I like most of their stuff and they have good energy in concert.
