Members cleverbastid
Valcoder is good for chops but that's it I thought?
Members Crxsh
Depends on what kind of trem you want really... TR-2 can get you a full range of smooth to choppy trem, while the Valcoder is really just all about chop. It can sound kind of subtle when you back the mix down... but really, the waveform only gives you so much room for that. I was happy with the subtlety, but others have commented that it's a bit too choppy for their taste. Check the vid: C3D4NVzbJ64
Members gae86
In a couple of days I should receive my valcoder. I bought it from Nick on ebay. It has a little chip in the payment so I've payed 105. I'm so excited!!!
Members IRG
I like my Valcoder, although I'm thinking of replacing it with a Voodoo Lab Tremolo. But Nick's right, you can back off the depth for a more subtle tremolo. Great size if you need something small.
Members taintric
If you want something small, check out a Guyatone. The mighty micro can do a decent vintage trem, plus a KILLER chop, and it has a low pass filter. I've had the semaphore, supa and demeter, and have played the boss. I actually kinda like the boss, and would take it over the valcoder easy, one day I'll pick up a keeley modded unit, I think.
