Members tayholliday
Video of The Edge talking about his rig/approach: Around 2:46 he kicks in some high octave effect with the expression pedal. Anyone know what that effect is? I dig it.

Members BoredGuitarist7
Low resolution'd on my screen. Looks like a red pedal? Maybe a Whammy?
Members tayholliday
He's stepping on the pedal next to the whammy, which is a black expression pedal that looks to be connected to his gigantic MIDI board... so its driving something in the rack presumably. Members tayholliday
Digitech EX-7 Expression Factory pedal.... Hmm kinda similar to the Synth Swell setting on that pedal (watched the digitech video). But Edge's effect seems to let more of the dry guitar through and it sounds more complex. Members josh27
You can definitely get that sound with an EX-
Members tayholliday
You can definitely get that sound with an EX-7 Yeah, I should've checked the video responses: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mcc-nCpoyzQ I think its pretty close. But what is the effect actually? Sound like octaves up with delay/reverb applied only to the shifted signal. Does that seem right?
