Members jabuerctu
Hi all, Just got a Vox Pathfinder 15R (and lovely it is to) and probably going to use it on minimal gain. I'm used to using my JCM 900s gain and never really delved into OD pedals before so I'm looking at getting an overdrive (or distortion) pedal with a nice crunch sound for chord work to add to the pathfinder when I need some crunch. Any recommendations? I've heard the blackstar pedals are good....dunno though. So many to choose from. I was thinking of a tube screamer for lead work....again whats your thoughts? Thanks

Members booher
Good crunch? If you want marshall sounds: Fulltone OCDZVex Box of Rock, DistortronWampler Pedals Plexidrive of Plextortion A Boss OD-3 might give you a good budget crunch. And you might as well give the Pro Co RAT a shot, too.

Members southpaw pete
I also play through a Pathfinder 15r (really great little amp!) and have had good results with the BD-2, Dano TOD and Bad Monkey - all three seemed to work well for "just enough" grit for chords and such. Members booher
P.S. - I don't think tubescreamer type overdrives (such as the bad monkey or fulldrive) are 'crunchy.'
Members Bill Cosby
Where are you seeing a Fulldrive II for 150? I forgot what they were new, just gave a rough estimate since i got mine discounted. It's only $11 more anyways.
