Members amarr1
I read an article about this in Guitar Player, seemed pretty interesting. Any of you guys use amp simulation software or something like that on your computer live? Discuss.
Members Jisatsu
No, but I could if I actually gigged still. Line6 guitar port out to a power amp out to a cab wouldn't be so bad. I've gotten some decent presets I've made. I wouldn't be 100% happy with my sound, and I wouldn't have easy preset switching, but I'd sound decent enough that I don't think anyone would care that I'd be using a laptop/poweramp/speaker cab. Though I'd much rather use guitar rig 2 or 3 with the foot controller. It sounds better than the line6 stuff, and of course has a foot controller. Members hooya
We don't use an amp simulator or anything, but we use Ableton Live as an instrument in the band. We're searching for someone that can use the thing as a real instrument, 'cause right now it's just serving as a static backing track...

Members Zakko
Was thinking about it, but most places we play have a {censored}ty enough PA that trying to add anything 'special' other than vocals and kick drum may be a stretch.
Members Kid_A
Latency would be a problem... i had Guitar Rig 3 too... shame because i thought the amp sounds were actually pretty good
Members zooLemon
I use mine for backing tracks and keyboards in Mainstage and it works pretty well. My biggest worry is that it's a pretty major theft risk,.
Members Invader.CC
I just got a Line 6 Tone port ux2 for catching live recordings for demos..But i might ended up using a few of the presets they are surprisingly good..I also have a eq program that i use for sound check that helps find the best settings for your board ...
