Members denimboy
Which settings/playing do you use to create swooshing ambient sound like Mogwai do in all their songs? Sounds almost like a very long violin note and very smooth. Kind of hard to explain..
Members denimboy
btw I'm not talking about oscillation.. The sound I'm talking you can barely hear any picking.
Members Rizza
Volume swells?
Members denimboy
Volume swells? Not exactly.. though it often starts with a swell but usually the swooshing is when you change note. Volume depends on dynamics you play.

Members BTBAM
that's oscillation...just a very slow rate If oscillation happens after 100% of feedback, that would be having it around 90-110%

He's strumming all the way.. He never plays with knobs.
Members BTBAM
Well....a DD-6 could be a good example...where you hold down the pedal and it will continue to rise the feedback to wherever you have it set. You let go, it goes back to a tameable feedback. I set up the same type of thing in my M9 using an expression pedal.

Members BoredGuitarist7
Do a stereo delay. Get a stereo pedal. Get one out going straight to an amplifier. Have the other stereo out go to a phase shifter, and then into a delay pedal. Have this go to a different amplifier. Adjust to taste.
