Members DarkIntension
Hey guys, what is the extra AC outlet on the PP2+ used for? For a longer AC cable if need be? I actually recently purchased it and was wondering if there is anyway I could use a longer AC cord with the PP2+ and where can I get one. For shows, the standard cord runs kind of short. Members Frankenstrat86
it's an outlet for pedals that only use wall warts. you can buy a mini surge protector and plug it in there, then use that for your wallwarts
Members hooya
If you want a longer cord, just buy a longer cord like the one that comes with it. It's a very standard power cord. As for the outlet.... it's just that... another outlet. For things that the PP2+ can't typically power, like a Frequency Analyzer (40v+) or old school Memory Man with the hard wired power cable. Members greenweenie
I've got a weird problem with my courtesy outlet. No extension/wallwart would fit. I've tried everything. The guy who I bought it from said it was a "euro" style plug. But it's the same 3 prong plug I see everywhere.
Members Durango_Kid
These guys are all pulling your leg man. Your first thought was right.. It's a boosted outlet for really long runs from the power supply. All you need to do is get a commercial/double-male extention cords from Home Depot. Members p00n
dumb question, but on the 240V model, is the courtesy outlet also 240V? it's pretty stupid if it is cos those 240V countries use different shaped plugs.

Yep. I've got a 230V version and the courtesy outlet's a different shape.
Members fightthepower
I have a small powerstrip plugged into mine, powering my MP201, Photron, and HOG. Works great. (as well as all the pedals powered by the 8 regular DC outs)
Members Cirrus
Yep. I've got a 230V version and the courtesy outlet's a different shape. Yeah it's a Male IEC isn't it. Not quite as handy but you wouldn't be able to fit a UK three prong socket on the back of a pp2. If you look around a bit you can usually find an extension lead with an iec socket rather than a 3 prong one.
