Members southpaw pete Posted March 16, 2010 Members Share Posted March 16, 2010 Yeah, I've had the ole Boss Blues Driver for a while - haven't had it on my pedalboard for a while though. I wasn't big on the fizzy high end and decay, but wanted a boost for this weekend. So just for kicks I thought I'd re-introduce it to my setup; I just used it as a "clean" boost into my Sansamp Liverpool. It was great - pretty transparent and it pushed the Liverpool into just enough grit when I would dig in, but cleaned up with lighter picking when needed. Used it for most of the set. Good stuff. However, when the gain is anywhere above 12 o'clock, it produces a somewhat obnoxious fuzzy sound that i can't stand. Great 'glassy' boost undoubtedly tough.
