Members Tremster
The VC30 is not a clone of an AC30. I read in a lengthy review a long time ago that it is basically a Fender blackface-ish preamp with an AC30 power amp. Something along these lines, but don't take my word for it, I can't verify. I just repeat stuff. I had a VC15 once as my portable practice amp. It was very nice, though nowhere near Vox territory. It had Marshall crunch in spades. I sold it because the 1x10 construction did lack in low end and sounded a bit 2D. Mine had a spring reverb, the newer ones have digital reverb. They're all very well made, especially considering the price (in Europe), and I think a speaker upgrade would be a great improvement for some, especially the VC line. Members WAWBanks
I've got a VC15 and I love it. I had a 2x12 VC30 a few years ago and it was a really solid amp for gigging. I really wanted a lionheart and then tried one side by side with a VC30 and much preferred the VC30
