Members Kassanova
I'd like to hear from people who have done this, and whether or not they'd recommend it or regret it. I feel like I have a bunch of stuff I don't really use that often, so I'm thinking of smelting and I kind of want to liquefy, but I can't tell if it's because I have things I don't need or if I'm just bored. I don't know.
Members IRG
I pretty much changed everything on my board when I changed amps. I'm still not done, but close. It takes a long time, and shipping everything has been a fortune. I have a couple of regrets, and a couple of things I'm really happy about. Overall it was worth it, but it was more work that I expected. Still fun though.

Members theGhost
I've never tried smelting, but I did try taking the guts out of all of my pedals and then wiring them all into one box so I had a huge 60x60 analog "multi-fx" pedal. It was better than the Axe-Fx.
Members nuclear arsenal
no way. i got great deals on just about all my main gear. it would cost me an arm and a leg flip it and get a similar quality setup, even buying used. however, i do sell stuff that i don't use or like. Members BmoreTele
When I was a young man, me and the other fathers on my court (17 kids all together) decided we would melt down all the plastic toys, Big Wheels, toy furniture, Barbie playhouses, and nerf {censored} and make a giant community wet bar. We were too drunk to follow through.
