Members wiklund87
Lovekraft Chupacabra is the best I've tried...probably because of the tone control instead of a filter control.
Members ZeppelinPie792
I'd rather not build anything, by the way. My hands are a little too full for anything like that, and I have had a horror story with building an amplifier.

I think they were done...kinda when the builder felt like it

Members thezeng
You could get a normal whiteface Rat, as I don't see how clones upgrade them or make them better. Plus, it's all about having the beat to {censored} box as well!I think the fuzzhugger Arc Flash is a clone. Not too sure about that though
Members nankuamedha
FKR is the ultiment, but you'd have to build one. The BYOC looks really cool too, a lot of mod options. Retrosonic and Cmat mods make ones that look nice, but I've never played them. I'd also recamend looking at the Freakshow effects Brown Rabbit. Members Jules-RM
the hartman dist was pretty legit! one of the best pedal I've ever had! THIS. Over the years I've had a few different Rats, modded and unmodded and most of the clones already mentioned - apart from the Black Plague. The Hartman is the real deal. Don't overlook this one. Members ZeppelinPie792
How is the Hartman better than the others? My biggest problems with it are the size and the lack of versatility as compared to the other options.

My biggest problems with it are the size and the lack of versatility as compared to the other options. Ever hear of the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none"? That's true with many of the clones. The Hartman sounds like a original big box Rat, but BETTER. Most clones lose that "Rat magic" and end up sounding spongy and undefined. It does have a second mode that makes it more like an OD pedal, but I prefer the Rat side of it. And it's still smaller than the big box.
