Members RadioSilence
i just heard this song on the radio and love it i've just played it through five times on youtube, i think i might be wearing it out. I know the name Smog but it's always been on the periphery. where should i start then? is his solo stuff better/worse than Smog? Members six acre lake
All you need to know is to buy everything because it is all {censored}ing genius. I have been into this guy since the beginning and he has never made a bad record. "Dress sexy at my funeral" is one of my favorite songs... Members six acre lake
so i should just dip in anywhere? sounds good off to Spotify i go... Start in the middle with Dongs Of Sevotion and work your way forwards or backwards... You really can't go wrong. The early Smog stuff is LoFi genius... "Prince, Alone In The Studio" is a {censored}ing awesome early jam. The early stuff has great contributions from Christina Dall who has a great solo record as well. Members Webinfront_
I'd start with Knock Knock, thats the record that got me into Smog. I'm not as huge of a fan as some of my friends, or some people in this thread, but Callahan completely floors me sometimes. Members fakeplastic
A River Ain't Too Much To Love is the first one that got me. Jim White (Dirty Three) is his drummer on that album.
Guest Guest
Knock Knock is my favorite, and I don't think it'd be a bad place to start.
