Members arcadesonfire
I've got the Keeley Rat with regular, phat rat, and mighty mouse modes. I want to start using it as a straight up dist pedal rather than the mighty mouse boost, but i have my amp (a plexi clone) rather dirty already. So i'd like a distortion with even less gain than the plain Rat mode. At the moment, there's a spot (9 o'clock) where the gain pot goes from quite fuzzily distorted straight to clean boost. I want the space in between: low gain distortion. Anyone know which components (caps, resistors, chips?) i should fiddle with to make this pedal have less gain? Members booher
Sell it and get a normal Rat and run it with the gain set at 9 and filter and volume accordingly. Seriously. It {censored}ing rules. Plus they're cheap.
Members Chugs
You could try the Ruetz mod. Ruetz mod
Members nankuamedha
Ruetz might be what you are looking for. If you added a knob to adjust the Ruetz and switch to bring it back to normal you'd have a very powerful Rat.
Members melx
Take the clipping diodes out, then you'll have a 'clean rat' like on the deucetone, it will sound great and have loads of volume.

I think that's what the 'Mighty Mouse' mode on the Keeley is.
