Members wwhhaatt
I've been looking for a custom set of strings but I'm a bit weary of using off brand strings. I play pretty hard and can't use cheapys because they break in a day. Anyone use their bulk strings?

Members Dolf
Yes, and they're great strings. Buy with confidence.
Members CicadaSilence
They're good. Ernie Ball-ish in terms of quality.
Members wwhhaatt
They're good. Ernie Ball-ish in terms of quality. That worries me. Every time I have used EBs in the past I broke at least one string very quickly. Two times at shows after just putting them on that day
Members wwhhaatt
Huh? I play hard (probably with bad technique too) and the only strings that seem to last with me are D'addario and GHS. Ernieball, dean markely, and all the cheap off brands break way too easy for me. Members Ara Ajizian
You sure you don't have a bad fret somewhere that's busting your strings? I play pretty hard too but can't say I've ever broken new strings because of it.
Members Lonely Raven
Burrs on the bridge or nut, jagged fret, strings getting caught up on pickups. Lots of reasons (on top of just beating the strings like a ginger) for strings to break. I play sorta hard...like SRV hard, and my Snake Oil Strings last a good long time. Members wwhhaatt
It's happened on all of my guitars and it's always been like this. I know it has something to do with how I play but after trying to fix my technique for many years I just don't think I can break the habit. It's all fine at practice but at shows I throw the restraint out I guess.
