Members solewheelin
Crowther Prunes and custard sounded pretty massive when I heard it with bass. Give it a listen.
Members Warpsmasher
Yeah, foldback distortion is awesome on bass, and absolutely usable for metal. You can't go wrong with this: I have the guitar version, but it sounds great on bass too. It has a built in compressor instead of the EQ blend. Both have clean blend. I think these pedals have something for everybody. I'm probably going to get the Pro Classic distortion eventually too. The built in EQ and noise gates make them even better. Members starmansam
I hate the odb-3 for most applications, but it works fine, is cheap, has a blend knob. however, for that kind of metal I'd push an SFT with a RAT. the sft sounds great and will let you get some bass back. a muff could work as well, as long as you aren't matching the speed of the guitars, and a bass muff, russian muff, bluebeard would all be stellar.
